“Batman doesn’t cover his whole face because he needs the police to know he’s white”

The American comic book superhero “Batman” has a costume that only covers half his face. This was posted on Twitter by Randall Otis on APril 8, 2020:

“The reason Batman doesn’t cover his whole face is because he needs the police to know he’s white.”

That is, it’s implied that the police will not shoot a white person. The tweet received over 459,000 likes and has been printed on several images.

So that’s why Batman doesn’t cover that part of his face.

Unlike some folks here I welcome DM’s any time, as long as it’s to discuss why Batman doesn’t cover his chin and mouth. All other topics are off limits

The meme about batman not covering his mouth because he needs the police to know hes white is probly true.
It makes sense in cannon. Batman is a master of psychology. He even wears the yellow oval to redirect gunfire to his chest in his early suits. So why wouldnt he do that. He closley works with police, and corrupt police at that. Knowing what we know about police culture they wouldnt be as trusting if he wasnt showing his face or was black. So it would be a sutle way of putting the police at ease.

The Batman doesn’t cover his face so police can know he is white?
I mean, what he does is illegal and he should be arrested.
