“Create! Don’t hate” ("Don’t hate. Create")

"Create! Don’t hate” (or “Don’t hate. Create") is a saying that has been printed in many images. The saying means that instead of hating someone or something, create something better.

“Create; don’t hate” was printed in The Press Democrat (Santa Rosa, CA) on June 16, 1998. WorldStudio promoted a “Create! Don’t hate” design competition in 2003 to encourage tolerance.

“Don’t Hate, Create!!!” was posted on the newsgroup alt.music.bootlegs on July 5, 2002.

Create! Don’t Hate
Worldstudio partnered with Adobe Systems, Inc. on Create! Don’t Hate to engage designers and college students in a dialog around the theme of tolerance and to promote Adobe’s product InDesign to the creative community.

Designers from twelve leading studios were recruited as mentors and paired with Adobe Achievement Award winners. Each team used InDesign to create posters on tolerance.

16 June 1998, The Press Democrat (Santa Rosa, CA), “Voices,” pg. D6:
Teens need to do good things like playing a musical instrument. Also, they shouldn’t go around looking for trouble; they need to be productive with their time. Create; don’t hate.

“Don’t Hate, Create.” This book is about re-shifting your focus and redirecting your energy. We spend too much time exerting negative energy. We spend too much time focusing on the negatives. This book is intended to help you with that process. Use all that negative energy and turn into something beautiful. Use that same energy to create. This book came from pain, depression, anxiety, stress and many other draining human emotions. Join me on this everlasting journey.
