“Overeaters Anonymous hotline. Call 888-888-8888”

The number “8” sounds like the word “ate.” “As it turns out, (888) 888-8888 is a ‘proxy used to hide telemarketers.’ It really should be for Overeaters Anonymous” was posted on Twitter by Arthur David Olson on May 16, 2013.

“Overeaters Anonymous Hotline 888 888 8888” was posted on Facebook by Indian Hills Community Sign on APril 3, 2020. It is only a joke; calling that number will not connect to Overeaters Anonymous.
