“Using your turn signal is not ‘giving information to the enemy‘“

Many people are reluctant to use turn signals while driving. “Using your turn signal is not ‘giving information to the enemy’” is a jocular saying that has been printed on many images.

“Bumpersnicker: ‘Using your turn signals is not giving information to your enemy’” was printed in The Spokesman-Review (Spokane, WA) on December 23, 2002. “Using your turn signal is not ‘giving information to the enemy’” was posted on the newsgroup rec.arts.sf.written on February 5, 2003. “Coolest bumper sticker: ‘using your turn signal is not giving information to the enemy’” was posted on Twitter by Susan Pogorzelski on February 27, 2009. The saying originated on a bumper sticker.
