“What did they call the canary that flew into the pastry dish?"/"Tweetie Pie.”

Tweety (or “Tweety Pie") is an animated fictional yellow canary and not an actual pie, but there is a riddle:

Q. What did they call the canary that flew into the pastry dish?
A. Tweetie Pie.

The joke has been cited in print since at least 1990.

Wikipedia: Tweety
Tweety (short for Tweety Pie) is an animated fictional yellow canary in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated cartoons. The name “Tweety” is a play on words, as it originally meant “sweetie”, along with “tweet” being a typical English onomatopoeia for the sounds of birds. His characteristics are based on Red Skelton’s famous “Mean Widdle Kid.” Tweety appeared in 47 cartoons during the golden age.

Wikipedia: Tweetie Pie
Tweetie Pie is a 1947 Merrie Melodies cartoon directed by Friz Freleng and produced by Warner Bros. Cartoons, depicting the first pairing of Tweety and Sylvester. Tweetie Pie won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, breaking Tom and Jerry’s streak of four consecutive wins on the category.
