Would a mutant cow be called a “moo-tant”? “‘Mootant’ comic book - a cow with the X-Men logo” was posted on the newsgroup rec.arts.comics.misc on October 23, 1992.

“What would you call a Post Apocolyptic Bovine? A Mootant” was posted on the newsgroup alt.support.stop-smoking on October 21, 2002. “What do you call a cow whose DNA has been changed? A mootant!” was printed in the book Monster Maker (2007) by Jim Benton. “What do you call a cow with too many chromosomes? A MOOtant” was posted on Twitter by Excelsior, Mr Lee on September 28, 2010.
