“Beer is the only drink that’s acceptable to be served in a glass that’s overflowing and dripping”

When beer is poured, the head of foam often rises above the glass. Many people consider this acceptable, even desirable.

A science question for five points: how come I can’t pour a pint can of beer into a pint glass without it overflowing?

Everytime I see a beer overflow a glass in a commercial, I think, “That’s amazing,” but in real life whenever that happens, I think “Ohshitohshitohshitohshit!”

You guys ever saw that one bar technique where as you pour the beer to where it reaches the top and would overflow as you pour you’d get a butterknife and use the back end to shove off the top that’s overflowing and you’d be left with a smooth surface along the edge of the glass?
