“Dang, my 250 million year old salt has expired”

Many people are surprised that salt has an expiration date. One brand of salt states that it is 250 million year old.

Surprisingly does not taste stale” was posted on X/Twitter by Casey Henry on June 7, 2013. “250 million year old Himalayan Salt [turn bottle over] ‘Expires in 6 months’” was posted on X/Twitter by PЦP SΞΓƗ on April 15, 2015. “My 250 million year old salt expired last month” was posted on Reddit—Funny on March 27, 2017. “The Patanjali salt packet says it was created from a 250 million year old Himalayan rock salt bed.
The Label says expiry date is ‘2018’. So Happy they dug it up just in time!” was posted on Facebook by Prashant Singh on July 19, 2017.
